Benchmark Email Integrations: Native, Zapier, and API

Benchmark Email publishes roughly 35 native integrations plus 2 first-party apps (a WordPress plugin and a Shopify app) on its official directory, and reaches a further 1,500+ web services through Zapier. On the programmatic side there is exactly 1 current REST API, Benchmark Email API v1.0.0, launched April 2026, alongside 2 still-published legacy APIs. Read the directory with one structural fact in mind: every connector below moves contacts into Benchmark or pulls assets into the campaign editor. None of them sends mail on your behalf, because Benchmark exposes no send endpoint and no SMTP relay at any plan tier.

That makes the surface easy to evaluate. If the requirement is “get form, store, CRM and helpdesk contacts into a marketing list, then design a campaign”, the native catalogue covers it and Zapier covers the long tail. If it includes transactional mail or an approval-free pipeline, nothing on this page closes that gap, pair Benchmark with a relay, or choose a platform such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact, AWeber or MailerLite that ships both halves.

The 25 connectors below are drawn from Benchmark’s official integrations directory and grouped by the job they do. Tags mark the wiring: NATIVE means Benchmark maintains the connector in-app, API means a third party built it on the REST API. Only the Zapier connector carries a documented per-integration deep link (/features/integrations/zapier/), so the other native entries link to the verified directory hub rather than to guessed slugs.

Automation & no-code (3)

Zapier is the load-bearing integration here: it covers every service the native list omits. Note the ceiling, no automation platform can trigger a Benchmark send, because the API has no send or schedule call. Flows end at a drafted campaign and a human pressing send in the web app.

E-commerce & billing (5)

These connectors do one thing: move buyers and subscribers into a Benchmark list. Receipts, order confirmations and shipping notices are transactional traffic and stay with your store platform or a relay. Benchmark cannot deliver them.

CRM & support (5)

CRM coverage is the weakest part of the catalogue and skews toward smaller, older tools. Salesforce, HubSpot and Pipedrive are absent natively, route those through Zapier, Power Automate or the REST API contact endpoints, and treat your CRM as the system of record.

Forms & lead capture (5)

The category that best matches Benchmark’s list-building positioning. Watch the Free ceiling: 75 signup-form registrations per day and 1 form, against a 500-contact cap. High-volume capture tools hit that wall within days.

CMS, content & data (4)

Two jobs sit in this group: the WordPress and Google connectors move contacts, Canva and Stripo move creative assets into the editor. Note the recurring mistake, the WordPress plugin is a signup-form and RSS-to-email tool, not a mailer, so it cannot back WP Mail SMTP or deliver WooCommerce order mail.

Deliverability & analytics (3)

Benchmark sends from a shared IP pool at roughly 20,000 emails/hour (about 25,000/hour with the paid dedicated-IP add-on), so list hygiene is your main lever on placement. Pro also includes one list-verification pass per billing cycle, overlapping the two verification connectors below.

Frequently asked questions

What integrations does Benchmark Email support natively?

Around 35 connectors on the official directory, plus 2 first-party apps (the WordPress plugin and the Shopify app). The catalogue leans toward form and lead-capture tools, with lighter coverage of e-commerce, CRM, helpdesk, design and list verification. Every native connector either imports contacts into a list or pulls assets into the campaign editor. None of them sends mail.

How do I connect Shopify or WooCommerce to Benchmark Email?

Shopify uses Benchmark’s first-party app: install it, authorise the store, and map customers plus newsletter opt-ins to a target list, after which you can insert products into campaign blocks. WooCommerce uses a native connector that pulls store customers into a list. Both are contact-sync only, order confirmations, shipping notices and abandoned-cart mail still leave through Shopify, WooCommerce or a dedicated relay.

Does Benchmark Email work with Zapier, and which app do I pick?

Yes, and Zapier is the most important integration Benchmark has: it reaches 1,500+ services. The trap is that Zapier lists 2 separate Benchmark apps, “Benchmark Email” and “Benchmark Email Classic”, matching the two live product lines, with different triggers and actions. Pick the one that matches the login you actually use. Also ignore the “Benchmark Email + SMTP” Zapier connector that ranks well in search: it connects Benchmark to a third-party SMTP server you supply, and is not Benchmark SMTP.

Is there an official Benchmark Email WordPress plugin?

Yes, and it is first-party, but it does the opposite of what most people expect. It embeds signup forms on your site and emails formatted versions of your blog posts to subscribers. It is a list-building and RSS-to-email tool. It is not a mailer, so it cannot replace WP Mail SMTP, cannot deliver WooCommerce order email, and cannot be configured with a host, port or credentials. Benchmark issues none. For WordPress transactional mail, run a dedicated relay alongside Benchmark and keep the two on separate sending subdomains.

How do I sync Benchmark Email with a CRM like Zoho, Salesforce or HubSpot?

Zoho and PipelineDeals have native connectors. Salesforce and HubSpot do not, so use Zapier, the certified Power Automate connector, or the REST API contact endpoints. On the API route, budget carefully: 3,600 requests/hour are shared across every key on the account, with a monthly quota of contact limit x 100 on paid plans and x 10 on Free. Use POST /api/contact/search for paginated reads, not GET /api/contact, which returns every contact in one array.

What is the difference between Benchmark Email and Benchmark Email Classic integrations?

Benchmark shipped a rebuilt platform in October 2025 and kept Classic running on a separate login, with no announced sunset date. The result is two of everything: two Zapier apps, two knowledge bases, and API coverage that serves only the new platform. Guides written for one product reference screens that do not exist in the other, so confirm which product a tutorial targets before following it.
