What is MailerLite?

MailerLite grew out of a Lithuanian web design agency started in 2005; the email product itself launched in 2010, and the company has never had a head office, running fully remote across more than forty countries. It has not been independent since June 2022, when Vercom S.A., a Polish messaging group listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, bought it outright for around 400 million zloty, roughly $90 million, together with its two sibling products.

Those siblings explain a gap. MailerLite publishes no SMTP relay and says so plainly: transactional mail goes to MailerSend, a separate product that shares single sign-on, while list verification sits in MailerCheck. What stays inside MailerLite is the marketing half, and it reaches further than most tools at this price, with a website and landing page builder and native selling of digital products and paid newsletter subscriptions through Stripe, on which MailerLite takes no commission, only Stripe’s own fee applies.

The free plan is the thing to check before trusting an old review. It ran at 1,000 subscribers and 12,000 emails for years, dropped to 500 in September 2025, and on 16 June 2026 fell again to 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails a month. The paid tiers, renamed Comfort and Power in 2026, start at $12 and $25 a month and scale on subscriber count.
