What is MailerSend?
MailerSend was built by the team behind MailerLite and launched on 29 October 2020 as their transactional product. Both, along with MailerCheck, were acquired in 2022 by the Warsaw-listed Vercom S.A. for around $90 million.
Its distinguishing move is treating a transactional template as design work rather than engineering work. A Designer role sees templates and nothing else, and can be restricted domain by domain, alongside a Manager role that reaches everything except the API and billing. The relay at smtp.mailersend.net takes ports 587 and 2525 and explicitly refuses desktop mail clients such as Outlook and Thunderbird.
