HubSpot: CRM with email marketing

Last verified Aug 27, 2026

HubSpot is a CRM with email marketing founded in 2006, headquartered in the United States. Starting at €20/mo/seat, it targets CRM-first teams that pay only for the contacts they market to, with transactional sending as a paid add-on. Our verdict: Published API limits and an official MCP server. Watch for: 77.7% inbox placement and 42% of reviews complaining about price. Rated 6.5/10 overall across ease of use, deliverability, and pricing value.

What is HubSpot?

HubSpot has traded on the NYSE as HUBS since its October 2014 IPO, and its email tool is a function of the CRM rather than a product beside it. Under the marketing contacts model introduced on 21 October 2020 you pay only for the people you market to — a million more can sit in the CRM for free — and the monthly send allowance is a multiple of that tier: five times on Starter, ten on Professional, twenty on Enterprise.

Transactional mail is not included. It is a sales-only add-on for Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise that unlocks smtp.hubapi.com and a dedicated IP usable immediately, with none of the 40-day warm-up the marketing dedicated IP requires.
