Sender features: what you get on each plan

Last verified Aug 27, 2026
Feature TL;DR (August 2026)
Sender covers all 24 features we test and withholds none of them outright. The free plan carries 2,500 subscribers, 15,000 emails a month, unlimited automation workflows and the full segmentation engine, which is more capability than most paid entry tiers in this corpus. The one growth feature it lacks is A/B testing. Sources checked 27 August 2026, the Sender pricing page and the Sender Help Center article on Free Forever plan limits.

What the matrix does not show

Read the From plan column downward and the shape is unusual. Eleven of the 24 rows say Free outright and three more say Free with a cap, and they are not the decorative ones: automation with no workflow cap, the full segmentation engine, every form and popup type, transactional email and SMTP relay, API access and round-the-clock live chat. Sender’s help center states outright that transactional features and premade automation templates are on every plan, Free Forever included. What the free tier withholds is narrow and specific: A/B testing, a custom domain, its own branding, and more than one seat.

Where the SMS line splits. Sending SMS campaigns starts on Standard. Automating SMS inside a workflow starts on Professional, one tier higher, and that is also where the included SMS credits and the dedicated IP appear. A buyer who wants SMS as a triggered step, not as a broadcast, is looking at Professional rather than Standard.

No plan prices are quoted here. The pricing page runs a percentage discount and recalculates every figure against a subscriber slider, so the numbers on screen are not stable list prices, and no second Sender surface publishes them. The subscriber and send caps above are the free plan’s, confirmed on both surfaces; paid caps move with the tier you buy.

Plan costs and the subscriber-tier ladder are on the Sender pricing page. The overall assessment is in the Sender review, hostnames and ports are under Sender SMTP settings, and comparable platforms sit under Sender alternatives.
