Omnisend is an Ecommerce email platform founded in 2014, headquartered in Lithuania. Pricing: Free · paid from $16/mo. It targets Shopify merchants driving order and shipping notifications, SMS and web push from one workflow. Our verdict: Easier than Klaviyo, and its own users say so unprompted. Watch for: 75.1 percent inbox placement, the lowest measured figure on the site. Rated 7.1/10 overall across ease of use, deliverability, and pricing value.

What is Omnisend?

Omnisend started in 2014 as Soundest, a Lithuanian email tool for online stores, and took its current name on 31 October 2017 once SMS and web push were added. Omnisend, UAB has never been acquired and is still run by co-founder Rytis Lauris.

There is no SMTP relay and no transactional send endpoint. Instead Omnisend replaces Shopify’s own order and shipping notifications with its own workflows, and only Shopify Plus merchants can switch the native confirmation email off entirely. Billing counts every contact you are allowed to message, abandoned-cart visitors included, not only subscribers.
