Free (2 accounts) / Pro ~$30 · Desktop Email Client
eM Client is a desktop email client for Windows and macOS that combines email, calendar, contacts, tasks, notes, and chat in a single application. The free version supports up to two email accounts. The Pro license removes the account limit and adds priority support, a one-time payment with optional annual renewal for updates.
It connects to Gmail, Outlook, Exchange, iCloud, Yahoo, and any IMAP or POP3 provider. Native Exchange ActiveSync support is built in no third-party add-on required. Data is stored locally on your device.

What is eM Client?
eM Client was first released in 2007 and has been updated continuously since. It is one of the few desktop clients that supports Exchange ActiveSync natively on both Windows and macOS, which makes it a practical alternative to Outlook in Microsoft 365 environments without requiring a Microsoft license.
The interface follows a familiar three-pane layout: folder list on the left, message list in the center, and preview on the right. Conversations can be grouped by thread. The calendar supports Google Calendar, CalDAV, and Exchange, displayed alongside email in the same window. Contacts sync with Google, iCloud, and Exchange address books.
Built-in PGP encryption covers both message signing and encryption directly from the composer. S/MIME is also supported. An AI writing assistant (powered by third-party APIs, configurable) is available in recent versions for drafting and tone adjustments.
The free license is a genuine free tier not a time-limited trial. The two-account limit is enforced per installation. Pro unlocks unlimited accounts, VIP customer support, and advanced backup options.
