What is SMTP2GO?

SMTP2GO is operated by Sand Dune Mail Limited, a Christchurch company registered on 12 July 2006 and still held by its two founders, Charles Abrahamson and Simon Slade. No acquisition, no outside funding.

Its setup library says what the service is really for: alongside Postfix and WordPress it documents scan-to-email for Ricoh, Kyocera, Lexmark, Xerox and Sharp copiers. It accepts SMTP on ports 25, 587, 2525 and 8025, and unusually on 80 and 443, which gets mail out of networks where a firewall blocks the normal ports. A strict European endpoint, mail-eu2, keeps EU traffic inside the EU.
