AWeber: Email marketing platform

Last verified Aug 27, 2026

AWeber is an Email marketing platform founded in 1998, headquartered in the United States. Pricing: Free · paid from $15/mo. It targets long-running newsletter publishers who want an owner-operated sending network and no transactional plumbing. Our verdict: Human phone support and a 28-year track record. Watch for: Owns its network, still posts 83.1% inbox placement. Rated 6.4/10 overall across ease of use, deliverability, and pricing value.

What is AWeber?

AWeber was founded in 1998 in Chalfont, Pennsylvania by Tom Kulzer, who is still chief executive. The company has never raised venture capital and has never been sold, which after 28 years makes it an outlier in its own category.

It is also one of the few email marketing companies that owns its delivery network outright: AS11810 and the ARIN blocks 204.194.222.0/23 and 216.185.208.0/22 are registered to AWeber Systems, not rented from a sending partner. There is no SMTP relay and no transactional API — the OAuth 2.0 API covers lists, broadcasts, automations and landing pages only.
