About this provider
YOPmail is a French-operated open-inbox service that has been running since 2004. Like Mailinator, any inbox name is readable by anyone with the URL, which makes it extremely popular for one-off signups and equally toxic for any legitimate marketing list it ends up on. YOPmail addresses are heavily blocked by mainstream ESPs and verification services because the abuse-to-signal ratio is essentially infinite.
How it works
yopmail.com follows the standard disposable email pattern:
- A user (or a bot) requests an address through the web UI or the API
- The service assigns an address on one of its rotating domains
- Messages sent to that address arrive in an inbox accessible via web or API
- The address is discarded once the use case is complete, or expires automatically
