SendGrid Schedules Mail Settings Maintenance on 4 November
On 4 November from 22:00 to 00:00 UTC, SendGrid customers may be unable to change some mail, tracking, Event Webhook and Inbound Parse settings. Sending is not affected.

Twilio SendGrid has scheduled infrastructure maintenance for 4 November 2026, from 14:00 to 16:00 PST (22:00 to 00:00 UTC). During that two-hour window, customers may be temporarily unable to change a set of mail settings, tracking settings, Event Webhook and Inbound Parse settings.
The important part for senders is what the window does not touch. Twilio states that the maintenance does not impact mail send, and reading existing settings should keep working normally. The risk is limited to configuration changes made during those two hours, through the SendGrid API or the interface.
Key facts
- Platform: Twilio SendGrid
- Window: 4 November 2026, 14:00 to 16:00 PST (22:00 to 00:00 UTC)
- Posted: 26 October 2026 on the Twilio status page
- Components listed: SendGrid Webhooks (Event Webhooks, Parse API) and SendGrid API
- Impact: changes to some settings may fail; reading settings works normally
- Not affected: mail send
What Twilio announced
The notice, posted on the Twilio status page on 26 October 2026, says the work is meant to increase the stability and scalability of SendGrid's systems. It lists SendGrid Webhooks (Event Webhooks and the Parse API) and the SendGrid API as the affected components.
Settings you may not be able to change
According to the notice, customers may be temporarily unable to change the following mail settings:
- Address Allow List
- Bounce Purge
- Event Notification
- Footer
- Forward Bounce
- Forward Spam
- Legacy Email Template
The same applies to related Tracking Settings, Event Webhook settings and Inbound Parse settings. Twilio says reading these settings should work normally, so dashboards and scripts that only fetch configuration are not expected to break.
Why it matters even if sending is safe
Most teams will not notice this window. The ones that might are those that change SendGrid configuration programmatically: provisioning scripts for new subaccounts, deployment pipelines that update the Event Webhook URL, or tools that toggle footers and tracking settings per environment. A write call that fails during the window could leave a configuration half applied, for example a new webhook endpoint that was never saved.
Event Webhook settings deserve a check after the window. If your bounce, spam report and unsubscribe processing depends on webhook events, an endpoint change that silently failed means events keep going to the old URL. We saw how webhook disruptions ripple into suppression handling in the recent Brevo transactional events delay.
What it means for senders
What changes
SendGrid customers cannot reliably change several mail, tracking, Event Webhook and Inbound Parse settings on 4 November between 22:00 and 00:00 UTC, while email sending continues as normal. Plan any configuration change outside that window.
Who is affected
SendGrid accounts that change settings through the API or the interface during the window, especially teams with automated provisioning or deployment scripts that write webhook, parse or tracking settings.
When
4 November 2026, 14:00 to 16:00 PST, which is 22:00 to 00:00 UTC and 23:00 to 01:00 in Paris.
Action checklist
- Avoid configuration changes to SendGrid mail settings, tracking settings, Event Webhook and Inbound Parse between 22:00 and 00:00 UTC on 4 November.
- Pause automated jobs that write these settings, such as subaccount provisioning or deploy steps that update webhook URLs.
- Add a retry to scripts that cannot be paused, so a failed write is attempted again after the window instead of being dropped.
- Verify your Event Webhook URL and enabled event types after the window if anything was changed that day.
- Check the status page for updates, since Twilio may extend or close the maintenance early.
